Delivery & Packaging Information

Packed Weights & Sizes
Fish orders are packed to the nearest weight requested, and will weigh at least the weight requested. Fillet sizes are variable due to the nature of the whole fish. If you have a specific request for fillet sizes, please let us know and we will endeavor to meet your request.
Delivery Costs
Nelson urban $7.50 up to 25kg
Blenheim urban $7.50 up to 25kg
Rest of the South Island $13.50 up to 10kg
North Island $15.00 up to 10kg
Rural Delivery add $3.50 per polybin up to 10kg
Delivery Timing & Detail
Your fish will be delivered by courier to your door. If you are not home it will be left on the front doorstep or nearest location. Your fish should be opened from the polybin and refrigerated as soon as possible.
Delivery days available are Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Orders must be placed two days before delivery ie; order before 10pm Monday for a Tuesday despatch & Wednesday delivery, before 10pm Tuesday for a Wednesday despatch, Thursday delivery etc etc.
Packaging
Your fish is packed in a plastic bag and placed inside a secure polybin. Ice gels are packed around the fish. This ensures the fish remains temperature controlled and fresh. If your fish is too warm when you receive it, do not eat it and contact us immediately.
Product quality
All species listed for sale on the website are skinned and boned. All Guyton's fish is hand processed, by skinning and boning freshly caught whole fish. The product is controlled throughout the complete process to ensure it remains fresh and safe to eat.
Guyton's run an approved HACCP plan with the New Zealand Food Safety authority.
All Guyton's fresh fish has a 5 day shelf life when handled correctly. However for best eating, eat within 2 days of receiving the product.
Handling Fish
Remove fish from plastic as soon as possible. Place fillets on a plate and cover with a paper towel inside your refrigerator until ready to eat. Freezing the fish for later use is fine.
